360 Excavator Operator – Grade C (Manual Labour)
Hours: 40 Hours Per Week (Permanent PM Shift – Initially 10:00–20:00, moving to 14:00–22:00)

Start Date: ASAP (Initial Start Date: 1 September 2026)
We're recruiting a 360 Excavator Operator to join the site team at a busy operational facility in Castle Bromwich. This is a key operational role, ideal for someone experienced, reliable, safety-conscious, and confident operating heavy machinery in a fast-paced site environment.
About the Role:
As a 360 Excavator Operator, you'll be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of a 360 excavator, stockpiling Incinerator Bottom Ash (IBA) materials, maintaining safe working practices, and supporting the smooth running of the site.
What You'll Be Doing:
- 360 Excavator Operation: operating a 360 excavator safely and efficiently to support daily site operations
- Stockpiling Materials: stockpiling Incinerator Bottom Ash (IBA) materials and managing stockpiles safely
- Stockpile Management: climbing and managing stockpiles to safely stack and organise materials
- Machine Checks: completing daily machine and equipment check sheets and reporting any issues
- Routine Maintenance: carrying out routine machine maintenance and reporting faults promptly
- Health & Safety: following all site health and safety procedures and maintaining safe working practices
- Teamwork: working effectively as part of the site team and supporting wider site operations
- Carrying out other duties appropriate to the grade of the post
Requirements:
We're seeking an experienced 360 Excavator Operator who is reliable, safety-focused, and comfortable working independently and as part of a busy site team.
You'll ideally have:
- Minimum 5 years' experience operating a 360 excavator
- Valid CPCS or NPORS certification
- Relevant experience in quarrying, recycling, or asphalt environments
- Good understanding of safe machinery operation and site procedures
- Strong awareness of routine excavator maintenance and daily inspections
- Reliable and able to work the required shift pattern
- Previous experience handling IBA materials is desirable
- Experience working on waste, recycling, or quarrying sites is desirable
