Full job description

Your role as a cook in a busy cafe is dynamic and challenging. It requires a passion for cooking and strong attention to detail

Maintaining good fridge hygiene. You will be responsible for keeping the kitchen clean and organised to ensure food safety and quality. This includes regularly checking and disposing of expired items and properly storing ingredients

Creating new dishes: You will have the opportunity to showcase your creativity and culinary skills by developing new dishes to add to the cafe's specials menu. This involves experimenting with different ingredients, flavours, and presentation styles to provide unique and exciting options for our customers.

Cleaning to a high standard: Maintaining cleanliness and sanitation in the kitchen is crucial for food safety. You will be responsible for cleaning and sanitising workstations, utensils, and equipment in accordance with health and safety regulations.

Working and communicating with front of house is essential to ensure smooth operations and customer satisfaction.

Cooking in a busy environment. You will be expected to handle multiple orders simultaneously while maintaining efficiency and quality. This requires excellent time management and multitasking skills.

Hours vary, but there will be weekend work.

Pay: £7.50-£15.00 per hour
