Casual Roofing Labourer
McKee Roofing Services are looking for a reliable casual labourer to help with our growing workload across Dundee, Fife and surrounding areas.
At present, this is a temporary/casual, as-and-when-required position, with hours varying depending on workload. There are no guaranteed weekly hours.
However, as the business and our workload continue to grow, there may be opportunities for the right person to progress into a more regular role in the future.
The role
You’ll be working alongside an experienced roofer and helping with a variety of roofing and general labouring tasks, including:
- Assisting with roofing works
- Moving and preparing materials
- Loading and unloading the work van
- Keeping work areas clean and tidy
- General labouring and site duties
- Working safely at height and following instructions
What we’re looking for
- Full UK driving licence – essential
- Reliable and able to turn up when agreed
- Comfortable working at height
- Physically able to carry out general labouring duties
- Willing to get stuck in and work as part of a small team
- Able and willing to learn
Previous roofing or construction experience is preferred, but it isn’t essential.
Don’t be put off if you’ve never worked on a roof before. We’re more interested in finding someone reliable, practical and willing to learn who can get up to speed quickly.
For the right person who shows commitment and an interest in developing within the trade, there may also be opportunities to undertake relevant courses and gain further qualifications as the role progresses.

This is not an apprenticeship position and we are not currently looking to take on an apprentice.
We’re looking for someone sooner rather than later due to our current workload.
