Full job description

We are seeking an organised Support Medical Secretary to join the Acute Services Medical Directorate, providing comprehensive administrative and secretarial support to a range of clinical specialties.

The successful candidate will have proven secretarial and administrative experience, with excellent communication, organisational and problem-solving skills. You must be a competent audio typist with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel. Experience with medical terminology and NHS systems and processes would be an advantage. Knowledge of NHS waiting times is desirable.

You should be a flexible and reliable individual, able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. A level of English language competency and communication skills necessary to perform this role safely and effectively is essential.
