Full job description

Job Overview

Lely Center Eglish wishes to recruit a Management Accountant to work 3 days per week, based at our offices in Eglish, Northern Ireland. This is a newly created role, offering a unique and exciting opportunity for the successful candidate to shape and develop the function from the ground up. The postholder will have the autonomy to establish robust financial processes, provide financial insights, improve efficiency, and help the organisation achieve its strategic and financial goals.

Responsibilities

Prepare and analyse monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with accounting standards.
Manage budgeting processes, including forecasting, variance analysis, and reporting to support strategic planning.
Oversee accounts payable functions, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments.
Utilize Sage accounting software and Excel to maintain precise financial records.
Support financial management activities by providing insights into cost control, profitability analysis, and cash flow management.
Ensure comepliance with internal controls, audit requirements, and regulatory standards related to financial accounting.

Skills

The successful Management Accountant will meet the following criteria:

Part-qualified or newly qualified (ACA / ACCA / CIMA)
Proficiency in accounting software (including Sage & Xero) and Excel
Commercially aware with a strong business mindset
A minimum of 2 (+) years’ industry experience working in finance/accounts, including management accounting
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
