Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate self employed Podiatrist to join our Cleadon Village clinic, providing expert foot and ankle care to patients of all ages. In this vital role, you will diagnose, treat, and manage a wide range of podiatric conditions, helping patients improve mobility, reduce pain, and enhance their overall quality of life. Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients’ foot and ankle health, including medical history reviews and physical examinations
- Diagnose various podiatric conditions such as bunions, heel pain, ingrown toenails, diabetic foot ulcers, and sports injuries
- Develop personalized treatment plans that may include medication, physical therapy, orthotics, or surgical interventions when necessary
- Educate patients on foot health maintenance, injury prevention, and proper footwear choices
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and ensure optimal outcomes
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records using IT systems for documentation and follow-up
- Stay current with advancements in podiatric medicine through ongoing education and professional development
Qualifications
- Valid HCPC certification as a licensed Podiatrist with relevant medical credentials
- Strong communication skills to effectively explain diagnoses and treatment options to diverse patient populations
- Proficiency in English for clear documentation and patient interactions
- Familiarity with IT systems used for medical record keeping and appointment scheduling
- Ability to teach patients about foot health practices in an engaging and understandable manner
- Prior experience in clinical settings is preferred but not required; training will be provided for new graduates
- A compassionate approach combined with excellent organizational skills to manage multiple patient cases efficiently
