Senior IT Security Consultant | Edinburgh | Full-Time

We're looking for an experienced Senior IT Security Consultant to join our growing team in Edinburgh.

This is an exciting opportunity to work with organisations across a range of industries, helping them strengthen their cybersecurity posture, manage risk, and implement effective security strategies. You'll work alongside a talented team of security professionals, delivering high-quality consultancy services while contributing to innovative security solutions for our clients.

Your Responsibilities

As a Senior IT Security Consultant, you'll:

Deliver security assessments, audits, and risk management engagements.
Advise clients on cybersecurity best practices, governance, and compliance requirements.
Identify security risks and recommend practical remediation strategies.
Support the design and implementation of secure IT environments.
Conduct vulnerability assessments and coordinate remediation activities.
Collaborate with technical and business stakeholders to improve security controls.
Assist clients with incident response planning and security resilience initiatives.
Produce clear technical documentation, reports, and client presentations.
Stay up to date with emerging cyber threats, vulnerabilities, and industry trends.
Mentor junior consultants and contribute to knowledge sharing within the team.

We're Looking For Someone Who Has

Strong knowledge of information security principles and cybersecurity frameworks.
Experience with risk assessments, security governance, and compliance programmes.
A solid understanding of network, cloud, endpoint, and infrastructure security.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to a range of audiences.
Experience working with security technologies, vulnerability management, and security monitoring tools.
The ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining a high standard of quality.
A collaborative approach and a commitment to delivering outstanding client service.

Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CompTIA Security+, ISO/IEC 27001, Microsoft Security, AWS Security, or similar are advantageous but not essential.
