Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Commercial Plumber / Pipefitter supervisor to join our team on a self employed basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, piping systems across various projects. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude, proficiency with a range of tools, and the ability to interpret technical drawings. The position offers an excellent opportunity to work on diverse projects in a dynamic environment, contributing to the safe and efficient operation of plumbing systems.

Responsibilities

Install piping systems in accordance with technical specifications and safety standards.
Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to determine layout and installation procedures.
utilise hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment to cut, assemble, and install pipes and fittings.
Conduct routine inspections to identify potential issues and perform necessary repairs or replacements.
Collaborate with team members to ensure projects are completed efficiently, safely, and on schedule.
Maintain a clean work environment by adhering to health and safety regulations at all times.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Plumber or Pipefitter with a strong understanding of mechanical systems.
Install LTHW, domestic hot and cold water and drainage pipework.
Ability to read technical drawings and blueprints accurately.
Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and adjustments during installation or repairs.
Familiarity with assembly processes related to piping systems.
Strong mechanical knowledge combined with problem-solving skills.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Relevant certifications or qualifications in plumbing or welding are preferred but not essential.
CSCS essential
