We Are Hiring: Technical Sales Representative
Join our dynamic Quoting and Sourcing team at Aviapool. We are seeking a driven, business-minded professional to deliver accurate, competitive quotes while building strong global relationships in the aviation sector.
Role Details
- Location: Exeter, UK
- Salary Range: £33,000 rising to £35,000 per annum subject to a 3 month probationary period.

- Reports To: Global Sales Manager
- Hours of work 08:00-16:30 (Work from home Monday, Thursday & Friday)
- Pension, BUPA, Bonuses (3pa), Travel, Holiday 20 days plus Bank Holidays
Key Responsibilities1. RFQ & Sourcing Management
- Manage the Aviapool Request System (ARS) screen efficiently.
- Assign RFQs and source suppliers for Aircraft Tooling, GSE & NDT Tooling.
- Quote customers directly within strict timeframes.
- Negotiate pricing discounts with suppliers and vendors.
- Prioritise workload independently to meet company expectations.
Relationship & Market Development
- Build lasting relationships with customers and vendors.
- Source new suppliers to expand the capability database.
- Identify and discuss project opportunities with management.
- Represent Aviapool at worldwide aviation industry events.
- Visit customer and supplier locations when required.
Operations & Compliance
- Maintain customer and supplier data within the ARS.
- Understand/utilise I.T.E.M.S..
- Apply understanding of shipping, consolidation, taxes, and tariffs.
- Ensure full compliance with company Terms & Conditions.
- Adhere to ISO 9001 Quality Management Standards.
Collaboration & Administration
- Report customer quality issues using agreed company procedures.
- Liaise with Fulfillment, Quality, Ops, and Finance teams.
- Share relevant market feedback internally across all departments.
- Handle administrative tasks including Microsoft Office and reporting.
Education & ExperienceRequired:
- Completed secondary education.
- GCSE (UK) English & Maths at grades A–C.
Preferred:
- Business Studies Diploma or an equivalent qualification or higher.
- Previous experience within an MRO or Airline environment.
Technical Skills & Special KnowledgeRequired:
- Business-minded approach with a high degree of common sense.
- Proven ability with Microsoft Excel and general Microsoft Office suite.
Preferred:
- Knowledge or experience regarding aircraft tooling and GSE (Ground Support Equipment).
