Overview
We are seeking a motivated and reliable Electricians Mate to support our electrical team on various projects. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to gain practical experience in the electrical trade while working alongside experienced professionals. The successful candidate will assist with installation, maintenance, and repair tasks, contributing to the safe and efficient completion of electrical projects. A background in electrical work, familiarity with hand tools and power tools, and a keen interest in developing electrical skills are highly desirable. Previous experience and own transport is essential.
Duties
- Assist qualified electricians with installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems.
- Handle and operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively under supervision.
- Support the setup of electrical equipment and components on-site.
- Help in measuring, cutting, and preparing materials required for electrical installations.
- Ensure work areas are kept clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety regulations.
- Follow instructions from senior electricians to complete tasks accurately and efficiently.
- Participate in safety briefings and adhere to all safety protocols during work activities.
- Assist with troubleshooting electrical issues as directed by the supervising electrician.
Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of hand tools and power tools used in electrical work.
- Previous experience or training in electrical systems is essential; a strong willingness to learn is required.
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to follow instructions carefully and work effectively within a team environment.
- Demonstrated interest in developing a career within the electrical trade.
- Physical fitness to perform manual tasks, including lifting and standing for extended periods.
- A valid UK driving licence is mandatory; own car and ability to travel between sites is essential.
