Location: Devon – ideally based in or around Exeter, Teignbridge, Torbay, South Hams, Plymouth or surrounding areas
Job Type: Full Time
Contracted Hours: 40 hours per week
GreenGenUK is continuing to grow across Devon, and we’re looking for experienced electricians who want variety, strong earning potential and the opportunity to develop their careers in renewable energy.
Established in 2011 and now part of the Hometree Group, GreenGenUK delivers renewable energy projects across domestic and commercial sectors throughout the South West.
This isn’t a role where you’ll spend every week doing the same work.
One day you could be installing and commissioning a Tesla Powerwall or Fox battery system. The next you might be wiring an air source heat pump, fault-finding a renewable heating system or connecting a large-scale solar PV installation at a factory, car dealership or NHS facility.
If you’re an experienced electrician looking for a role with more variety and the chance to develop specialist skills across the technologies shaping the future of our industry, we’d like to hear from you.
We know earnings matter.
Your contracted salary will be £35,000–£40,000 depending on experience, based on a 40-hour working week.
But that’s only part of the package.
Because our engineers work across the South West, a typical paid working week can often be 44–50 hours once travel time is included.
That means experienced electricians can realistically achieve total annual earnings of £40,000–£50,000+, depending on their base salary, hours worked and the additional opportunities they choose to take.
There are also opportunities to increase your earnings further through:
- Weekend work
- On-call cover
- Overtime
- Working away
- Additional project requirements
We’re not looking to hide overtime behind an inflated advertised salary. The £35,000–£40,000 is your base salary, with additional paid hours and opportunities on top.

No two weeks are the same.
Our domestic customers range from people living in centuries-old cottages and converted barns to brand-new homes and cutting-edge passive houses.
Our commercial customers are equally varied, from small independent businesses and farms through to factories, car dealerships and NHS hospitals.
We focus on delivering quality projects directly for homeowners, businesses and organisations that have chosen to invest in renewable technology. That means workmanship, customer service and pride in the finished installation genuinely matter.
