We are seeking a motivated and dependable Roofers Labourer to join our dynamic construction team. As a Roofers Labourer, you will assist skilled roofers with various tasks, ensuring safety, efficiency, and quality on every project site. Duties
- Assist roofers with loading, unloading, and organizing materials and tools on-site
- Prepare work areas by setting up scaffolding, ladders, and safety barriers
- Support the installation of roofing materials by handing tools and supplies to skilled workers
- Perform general site clean-up to maintain a safe and tidy work environment
- Carry out heavy lifting of materials such as shingles, metal sheets, and insulation boards
- Operate power tools under supervision, including drills, saws, and grinders
- Follow safety protocols diligently to ensure personal and team safety at all times
Skills
- Basic understanding of schematics and construction plans is a plus
- Experience with hand tools, power tools, and fabrication techniques
- Knowledge of roofing processes and materials is advantageous but not required
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently throughout the day
- Familiarity with masonry, carpentry, plumbing or welding can be beneficial for cross-training opportunities
- Strong work ethic with a focus on teamwork and attention to detail
- Willingness to learn new skills such as roofing techniques or equipment operation
