Full job description

Job Overview
We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Event Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for handmade jewellery and a strong commitment to delivering excellent customer service. This position requires strong communication, organisational, and time management skills to ensure the smooth running of our market stalls and events.

Responsibilities

Assist with setting up and packing down the market stall
Provide excellent customer service and product knowledge
Help maintain an organised and visually appealing stall
Handle cash and card transactions
Assist with stock management and inventory tracking
Ensure a smooth, efficient operation throughout the day.

Requirements

Friendly, approachable, and confident with customers
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Demonstrated time management abilities to meet deadlines effectively
Basic maths skills for processing transactions and managing cash registers
Previous experience in event planning or customer service is advantageous
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
A positive attitude and willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required by event schedules
Passion for handmade jewellery and the Manimu brand
A driving licence is required as there are various market locations

Experience:

Retail sales: 1 year (preferred)
