Specialist Learning Support Assistant (Data)
31.25 hours per week, 40 weeks per year
Salary: Grade C, actual pay £18,739.08 - £19,526
(FTE £25,185 - £26,243)
The SEND provision at Crofton school is recognised as providing excellent personalised learning for all our students, and as a result, the number of students joining the school to access this provision has increased. Therefore, we require additional staffing to support these students with a range of educational needs both in and outside the classroom. This is an ideal opportunity for people seeking school-based experience before progressing to teacher training.
This is a specialist role that combines direct student support with administrative and data responsibilities. Alongside working with students, the post holder will support the department in maintaining accurate SEND records, monitoring student progress data, and contributing to the effective management of information that underpins high-quality SEND provision.
Applicants will be positive and flexible, with the ability use to their initiative. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential, with the ability to speak to students in a manner which encourages, motivates, and supports them. You should have a good standard of education including Level 2 Numeracy / Literacy skills. Previous experience of working with young people in a professional environment is desirable, but not essential. The post will suit someone with a natural ability to engage with and build an excellent rapport with young people. The ability to work as part of our friendly supportive team is essential. This is an exciting but challenging role that requires a good sense of humour, resilience, determination, and patience.
