Join our friendly Team refurbishing and recycling wheelchairs and accessories at our workshop and storage facility, located at Sandon, Chelmsford. The role is key to achieving environmental and sustainability goals, reducing waste and re-purposing mobility equipment to the highest standards for reuse.
This role would suit someone who has a background or interest in mechanics. Previous experience as a wheelchair technician is not required as full induction and training will be provided for the candidate who demonstrates the necessary skills and aptitude.
The role will involve:
1. Completing refurbishment of wheelchairs and accessories to the highest standard, using tools and equipment;
2. Decontaminating equipment, complying with all Infection Control Policies and Procedures;
3. Manual handling of equipment;
4. Assisting and supporting the workshop supervisor in stock management.
You will be working within the team and also be comfortable working independently.
Bonus scheme in addition.
Pay: From £12.71 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 per week
