Location: Mill Hill, NW7
This role is based full-time in our London studio (Monday–Friday)
Studio B is a fast-growing, high-energy creative studio producing bold, social-first digital content for some of the world’s biggest brands. We blend production craft, innovative CG, and high-impact visual effects across YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook.
We operate at speed—some projects go from concept to final delivery in just a single week. We’re looking for a versatile, sharp Mid-Level VFX Artist who thrives in a fast-paced environment and wants to own shots from raw concept to final composite.
As a VFX Artist at Studio B, you will act as a core 3D Generalist with strong Compositing capabilities. You won't just sit in one pipeline silo—you’ll take full ownership of shots across modelling, texturing, lighting, rendering, and final 2D compositing.
While you’ll have the support of experienced supervisors and artists every step of the way, you should be eager to manage your own pipeline, adapt on the fly, and elevate the visual bar across all our projects.
Model, texture, shade, light, and render photorealistic CG shots, assets, and environments (including matte paintings and character integration).
Utilise Foundry Nuke to seamlessly blend 3D renders into final shots using advanced 2D compositing techniques.
Utilise USD workflows to assemble complex scenes, optimise lighting, and build efficient VFX pipelines.
Partner closely with VFX Supervisors, CG Supervisors, and Production teams to establish shot aesthetics and provide creative feedback.
Confidently leverage modern AI tools and scripts to speed up repetitive tasks without sacrificing craft or quality.
2+ years of professional experience in an advertising, agency, or feature film VFX environment.
High-level proficiency in Foundry Nuke for keying, tracking, beauty work, and complex 2D image integration.
Hands-on, production-proven experience using Houdini for generalist work or FX simulation.
Strong working knowledge of USD workflows, along with 3ds Max and/or Blender.
Experience using AI tools responsibly to augment human creativity (with strong awareness of copyright, confidentiality, and quality checking).
Traditional arts background and scripting skills (VEX, Python, or MEL).
Performance & Wellbeing Coaching: Access to dedicated 1-to-1 coaching to support your mental health, manage deadline pressure, and help you grow.
Real Autonomy & Ownership: Your work won't get buried. You'll lead shots, pitch ideas, and directly influence final projects.
A Culture That Cares: A supportive, high-energy culture where achievements are recognised and celebrated with team offsites, away days, and wrap parties.
A Front-Row Seat to Growth: Join a fast-growing studio at an exciting stage, with the opportunity to help shape how we scale, improve, and build for the future.
At StudioB, we don’t just focus on what you do; we invest in who you become. Alongside real opportunities for growth in a fast-scaling environment, you’ll have access to performance and wellbeing coaching designed to help you manage pressure, build resilience, and perform at your best. We’re building a culture where people feel supported, challenged, and energised, because we believe that’s where the best work comes from.
At Studio B, we actively use AI tools to move faster and work smarter, and we’re excited about candidates who do the same.
However, for this application, we’d love to hear your own voice and thinking. Please avoid using AI to generate your answers as applications that appear heavily AI-generated may not be progressed.
