Trainee Grounds Maintenance Supervisor

Inverallan Grounds Maintenance Ltd is a well-established, family-run business with over 20 years of steady growth in the grounds maintenance industry. We’re currently looking for a Trainee Supervisor to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is ready to step up into a Grounds Maintenance role, with full training and support provided.

The Role

As a Trainee Supervisor, you will work closely with an experienced Team Leader while learning to manage a small team and deliver high-quality grounds maintenance services across commercial and public sector sites.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in leading a small team carrying out tasks such as:
Grass cutting
Hedge trimming
Weed control
Work across multiple sites, following schedules and site specifications
Learn to operate and maintain machinery (zero-turn mowers, flails, strimmers, etc.)

What We Offer

Starting pay from £13.50 per hour (depending on experience)
Full training and development into a supervisory role
Company van provided (take home daily – no depot travel required)
Regular overtime opportunities (early starts, weekends, occasional night work)
Permanent, year-round work
End of Season Bonus

Working Hours

Summer: 42.5 hours per week
Winter: 37.5 hours per week

Requirements

Full UK Driving Licence (essential)
Previous grounds maintenance experience preferred
Willingness to learn, develop, and take on responsibility
