Introduction
Are you a hands-on technician who also loves working with people? Do you want to be part of an exciting, rapidly expanding business unit that’s already earning outstanding feedback from customers? If so, this could be the perfect next step in your career.
The Company
Established nearly 30 years ago, Anchor Safety has rapidly grown to become one of the UK’s leading suppliers of personal protective equipment (PPE) and corporate workwear.
Our innovative, reliable and customer-focused approach to supplying PPE has driven continual growth and exceptional customer loyalty. As a family-based business, dedication to prompt personal service from friendly knowledgeable staff has become a hallmark of our success. A unique-to-market Value Proposition, proactive approach to meeting customer requirements, supported by same day despatch from our ever-increasing stockholding of quality products, enable us to achieve our goal of delivering excellence in PPE.
About the Role
The Safety Services Division was a natural development of our unique position as Trusted Advisor to some of the UK’s best-known high-hazard organisations, and is now our fastest-growing Business Unit.
We’re now looking for an additional highly-motivated Field Service Technician to join the team.
In this role, you’ll be the face of our organisation on customer sites—servicing, cleaning and repairing respiratory protection equipment to the highest standards, and advising on maintenance and replacement needs. You’ll be responsible for ensuring that customer teams can rely on their equipment to keep them safe every day.
But this isn’t just a technical role. You’ll also be delivering engaging, high-quality training sessions to customer employees—helping them understand not just how to use their respiratory protection PPE, but why it matters.
Your ability to communicate clearly, build rapport and facilitate interactive learning will be just as important as your technical skills.
What You’ll Do
- Carry out on-site servicing, inspection, repair and cleaning of respiratory protection equipment
- Deliver professional, well-facilitated training sessions to customer teams
- Support employees in understanding the importance of proper PPE use, maintenance and safety
- Provide friendly, efficient and customer-focused service at every visit
- Maintain accurate records of work completed and equipment condition
- Act as a trusted advisor to customers, helping them get the best value from their safety programmes
- Contribute to the growth and reputation of our fast-developing Safety Services business unit
What We’re Looking For
- Strong technical aptitude, with hands-on maintenance or light engineering experience
- Confident communicator with excellent presentation and facilitation skills
- A genuine customer-focused mindset—approachable, friendly and solutions-oriented
- Ability to manage your own schedule and work efficiently on customer sites
- Comfortable delivering training to groups of varying sizes and backgrounds
- Passion for health & safety and helping people understand its importance
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel extensively
Why Join Us?
- Be part of an exciting new business unit with huge growth potential
- Work in a role that truly makes a difference to people’s safety and wellbeing
- Develop both technical and facilitation skills with full training provided
- Enjoy a varied, dynamic field-based role where no two days are the same
- Join a supportive team that values expertise, feedback and continuous improvement
If you’re someone who can combine technical know-how with an engaging, people-centred approach, we’d love to hear from you.
Apply now and help shape the future of our Safety Services Division - keeping workers safe and confident in the respiratory protection they rely on.
