Farm Supervisor Kew Little Pigs Farm
Location: Amersham, Buckinghamshire
Must be local or within 40 minutes driving distance
Hours: 5 days per week 8 hours a day
Pay: £14 per hour to start, with the opportunity for an increase and promotion
Requirements: Must be 25+ with a full manual driving licence
Kew Little Pigs is looking for an experienced, reliable and hands-on Farm Supervisor to join our team in Amersham.
This is a varied role that combines animal care, customer experience, staff management and light administration. We are looking for someone who is confident taking responsibility for the day-to-day running of the farm and can lead a team while also getting stuck in with the practical side of farm life.
The role will include:
* Supervising and managing farm staff, including creating rotas and planning staff schedules
* Carrying out administrative tasks and helping with the day-to-day organisation of the farm
* Ensuring the animals are well cared for, including feeding, cleaning, handling and general welfare
* Carrying out physical and practical work around the farm
* Helping to maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment
* Managing and assisting with customers and ensuring visitors have a fantastic experience
* Supporting the running of events, experiences and busy farm days
* Helping to ensure health & safety procedures are followed
* Taking responsibility for the smooth day-to-day running of the farm when required
* Supporting the wider team wherever needed
We are looking for someone who:
* Has previous experience managing or supervising staff
* Has previous experience working with animals
* Ideally has an Animal Management qualification
* Has experience working on a farm, animal attraction, petting farm or similar tourist attraction
* Is confident working with members of the public and providing excellent customer service
* Has good IT and administrative skills, with the ability to use systems for rotas, planning and general admin
* Is organised, responsible and able to work independently
* Is confident making decisions and taking charge when needed
* Is happy doing physical work and getting stuck in
* Is confident handling animals and working in all weather conditions
* Has a full manual driving licence
* Is 25 or over
* Preferably lives locally to Amersham or within an easy commute
