The Role
We are looking for a proactive and customer-focused individual to join our team. In this role, you’ll play a key part in supporting customers and ensuring positive outcomes through effective communication and problem-solving.
Key Responsibilites
To liaise with customers to facilitate the Voluntary Termination of their Hire Purchase agreements and the surrender of vehicles.
Contact customer of deliquent accounts by telephone, email, text and mail to determine reasons for overdue payments and to review account and financial position.
Facilitating calls for customers within the Asset Recovery worklists to engage with them to discuss their accounts and the best process to help them move forward, helping them to reach the most suitable forbearance option for their individual circumstances.
Assisting and managing Debt Management Company payment plans to ensure these are effective and in place.
Liasing with IVA Companies to ensure dividend payments being received along with processing each individual IVA making sure were included as unsecured debt and processing Proof of Debt forms.
Investigating accounts to obtain up to date and relevant customer details such as checking of social media, reviewing applications and job checks.
Collection of shortfall amounts outstanding for customer accounts within the GAP lists – including referring accounts back to the refinance team as appropriate.
Working of Incoming post on a daily basis.
Dealing with incoming repossession calls , completing Income and Expenditure forms, Affordability checks as well as assessing the account as a whole to confirm affordable long term with probing questions.
To be the point of contact for Collection Agents and Auction Houses who have been employed to act on our behalf.
Taking incoming call from vehicle compounds / police and processing pound fees along with liasing with agents.
Dealing with Vulnerable accounts which consist of Mental health suicidal reference calls, bereavement , terminal illness ,assessing and marking pre care and support for Texas or Carers dependant on call and providing support for customer and escelate to TL when required.
Dependant on staffing assigning of enquiries from the enquiry work list along with scanning & assigning.
LTH referrals for job checks based on new applications ie new information.
Person Specification
Essential:
Previous telephone or customer facing experience
Excellent Telephone Communication Skills
Excellent Email Communication Skills
Previous experience working with customers.
Good IT Skills
Good organisation and knowledge of office administration
Desirable:
Previous call centre or collections experience
Previous experience working within a regulated financial services environment.
