At Specsavers Home Visits we are looking for someone who wants to learn and be part of the Specsavers group of opticians.

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Optical Delivery and Fitting Technician to join our dynamic team. This role is essential in ensuring the accurate delivery, fitting, and adjustment of optical products, providing exceptional service to our clients. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, a thorough understanding of ocular anatomy, and experience working within optical laboratories or clinical environments. Your expertise will directly contribute to enhancing customer satisfaction and supporting the overall success of our optical services.

Duties

Safely deliver optical products to clients, ensuring proper handling and secure transportation.
Assist in the fitting and adjustment of eyeglasses and contact lenses according to prescribed specifications.
Collaborate with optometrists and optical staff to ensure precise delivery and optimal fit for each patient.
Maintain detailed records of deliveries, fittings, and adjustments for quality assurance purposes.
Provide excellent customer service by explaining product features, care instructions, and answering client inquiries professionally.
Uphold safety protocols and cleanliness standards within the laboratory and delivery processes.

Requirements

Prior experience working in an optical laboratory or clinical setting is highly desirable.
Strong knowledge of ocular anatomy to understand fitting procedures and anatomical considerations.
Laboratory experience with lens fabrication, edging, or mounting is preferred.
Excellent manual dexterity and attention to detail for precise fittings and adjustments.
Effective communication skills to interact confidently with clients and team members.
Ability to follow detailed instructions accurately while maintaining a high level of professionalism.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is required for delivery responsibilities.
