Role/Team Overview
Our products, platforms and technologies are constantly evolving that’s why keeping Sky safe from cyber-attacks is one of our top priorities. Our Cyber Security team helps the business grow while protecting our customers, colleagues and partners from increasingly sophisticated cyber threats.
Our Global Continuous Controls Monitoring (CCM) and Compliance team helps Sky improve their security compliance posture by providing clear, trusted insight into control effectiveness.
You’ll join a small team supporting the Panaseer CCM platform, focused on delivering high-quality reporting for Sky and ensuring the data and dashboards behind it are accurate, reliable and actionable
What you’ll do –
- Diagnose and resolve data quality issues across multiple feeds and datasets, including root-cause analysis, fixes and validation of outcomes
- Design, build and maintain dashboards and business logic, delivering value for users while ensuring outputs remain reliable and supportable within the platform
- Support back-end data design decisions (e.g., entity matching/merging logic, business rules, and how changes impact reporting)
- Assess, onboard and improve new data feeds: define requirements, map data, validate outputs and ensure they integrate cleanly into the platform
- Run and support day-to-day platform operations, including monitoring, triage, incident support and continuous improvement of BAU processes
- Own BAU ticket resolution end-to-end, including access management, data fixes and user support
- Work across both development and operational support, ensuring everything built is well-documented, maintainable and aligned to how the platform is run
- Respond to ad hoc leadership queries, quickly pulling together and validating data to support urgent or evolving business questions
- Operate as part of a small, hands-on team: stepping across data, platform support and operational tasks as needed to keep the platform running effectively
What you'll bring –
- Strong hands-on data skills: demonstrable experience using SQL as part of day-to-day work, including data investigation techniques and working confidently with complex or large datasets
- Experience with BI/dashboard development: evidence of building, maintaining or supporting dashboards/reports, including understanding the underlying data and metric logic
- Solid understanding of data modelling concepts: able to evidence practical use of data modelling principles, such as joins, relationships, keys, aggregations and how these affect reporting outputs
- Experience working with data integrations or pipelines: practical experience ingesting, validating, monitoring or troubleshooting data feeds, including investigating failures or data quality issues
- Experience working in a BAU or operational support environment: evidence of prioritising, investigating and resolving live issues, defects, data queries or service-impacting problems
- Strong collaborator in a small team: evidence of working proactively and flexibly in a small or lean team, taking ownership and stepping into broader data-related tasks where needed
- Comfortable writing clear documentation: demonstrable experience creating documentation, runbooks, issue notes or guidance that can be used by others, with the ability to explain data decisions in plain English to technical and non-technical audiences
- Familiarity with integration and access concepts: practical exposure to APIs, SSO, authentication, certificate expiry or similar concepts would be beneficial
