Class 1 Shunter Driver (Part Time) – Thursdays & Fridays – Derby DE1 9TA

We’re looking for an experienced Class 1 Driver to join our shunting team on our client’s site in Derby. If you enjoy predictable shifts, no long-distance work and being part of a tight-knit transport operation, this role is ideal.

The Shift

Thursdays & Fridays
15:00 – 00:00
Paid breaks
Regular weekly hours with a simple, fixed pattern

Pay

£16.98 per hour
£1,480 annual allowance
Stable, guaranteed income every week

What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll be moving trailers around the site using a TUG tractor unit, keeping the operation running smoothly and safely. This is a site-based role with no nights out, no long-distance driving and no waiting around at RDCs.

Your day will include:

Collecting tasks via a handheld device
Communicating with the transport office
Manoeuvring trailers safely around the yard
Supporting a friendly on-site team
What We’re Looking For
LGV Class 1 licence
Minimum 12 months’ commercial driving experience
CPC qualification
Up to 6 points accepted
Good understanding of working time regulations

Shunting experience is preferred, but full training is provided.
