Job Title: General Manager our Flagship site

Are you a driven and personable leader ready to take charge of an exciting pub restaurant in the countryside outside Wakefield? We are seeking a dedicated General Manager to lead our team and ensure the continued success and growth of our establishment.

About Us:

Located in the village of Midgley, our independent pub/restaurant is known for its welcoming atmosphere, delicious food, and exceptional service. We pride ourselves on creating a memorable experience for our guests while fostering a positive and collaborative environment for our staff.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee the day-to-day operations of the bar, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable experience for all guests.
Manage employee scheduling, time management, and accurate reporting of employee hours.
Maintain a well-stocked, clean, and safe bar in compliance with health and safety guidelines.
Monitor and control costs, ensuring adherence to the organization’s budget.
Handle ordering and stock control through our head office.
Plan and oversee special events, ensuring they run smoothly and meet guest expectations.
Recruit, train, and delegate staff effectively to meet operational needs.
Maintain and update POS systems, décor, and publicity efforts, including social media marketing, to engage with our target audience.

What We Offer:

Competitive starting salary: £40000 per year plus 3 bedroom living accomodation.
Full training and support from our Area Manager.

Ideal Candidate:

Previous experience as a General Manager or Senior Assistant Manager in a pub, restaurant or similar setting.
Cask ale experience preferred, though training is provided.
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Proficiency in managing budgets, costs, and stock control.
Ability to plan and execute special events.
Knowledge of social media marketing and maintaining a strong online presence.
