We are looking for a reliable, honest and experienced assistant manager / chef for our busy Deliveroo dark kitchen.
Grill experience a real advantage.
Be able to run a team, and slick service while maintaining all standards, assisting with ordering and team management
Shifts Thursday- Saturday 10am-11pm 38.5 hours per week but opportunity for extra hours if wanted
wage depending on experience with a good bonus scheme and room for growth and performance based incentives
starting Rae £15.50ph
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of the kitchen and food preparation and working closely with our manager who works between both sites
- Create and develop menus that align with the restaurant's concept and target audience
- Ensure the quality and presentation of all dishes meet the highest standards
- Train and supervise kitchen staff, including cooks and prep cooks
- Manage inventory and order supplies as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
- Collaborate with the restaurant management team to plan and execute special events or promotions
- Adhere to food safety and sanitation regulations
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar role
- Extensive knowledge of culinary techniques, food preparation, and presentation
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
- Degree or certification in culinary arts is preferred, but not required
