Full job description

We're looking for an experienced, personable salesperson to join our growing team in Herefordshire.

This is a customer-focused sales role for someone who enjoys talking to people, understanding what they're trying to achieve, and helping them choose the right product, rather than simply working through a list of cold leads.

You will act as an account manager for active customer enquiries, selling high-quality natural stone and engineered oak products. You'll guide customers through their flooring choices, build lasting relationships and manage enquiries from initial contact through to sale.

What You Will Do

Build Client Relationships: Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers in the showroom, via email and over the telephone. Take the time to understand each project and provide thoughtful, appropriate recommendations.
Manage Customer Enquiries: Take ownership of active customer leads from initial enquiry through to sale, keeping customers informed and providing a consistently excellent experience.
Develop Product Expertise: Become knowledgeable about our natural stone, engineered oak, installation and maintenance products. Ongoing training and team support will help you confidently educate customers and make informed recommendations.
Work Towards Sales Targets: Identify opportunities within existing enquiries, develop customer relationships and contribute to individual and company sales growth.
Work as Part of the Team: Collaborate with colleagues across sales, marketing and logistics to ensure customers receive a seamless experience from enquiry through to delivery.

What We Are Looking For

Relevant Sales or Industry Experience: We would ideally like you to have previous sales experience or experience in a related industry such as kitchens, bathrooms, furniture, interiors, home improvements, premium retail or architectural products. We're looking for someone who is personable, organised and commercially minded, with the ability to listen, advise and build trusted customer relationships.
Account Management: The ability to take ownership of customer enquiries, understand their requirements and develop relationships that lead to repeat business, including through trade contacts.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain products clearly and convey their benefits in a helpful, engaging way.
Self-Motivation & Organisation: A proactive, focused approach, with the ability to manage your own workload, meet realistic targets and complete tasks both independently and as part of a team.
Computer Literacy: Comfortable using Microsoft Office and able to learn and use a sales CRM system. Full training will be provided.
Working Hours: Monday–Friday, 08:30–17:00, plus occasional Saturdays, 09:30–12:30.
