We're now looking for an experienced and compassionate Clinical Deputy Manager to join our leadership team. This is an exciting opportunity for a registered nurse who is passionate about clinical excellence, leadership and delivering outstanding resident-centred care.What You'll Be Doing.....Working alongside the Registered Manager, you'll play a key role in the leadership and day-to-day operation of the home. This full-time position consists of 40 hours per week, comprising two 12.5-hour clinical shifts and two 7.5-hour supernumerary management shifts.
You will provide visible clinical leadership, support high standards of care, oversee clinical governance and help ensure the smooth running of the service.
You Will:
- Support the Registered Manager in the day-to-day management of the home.
- Lead and support nursing and care teams to deliver safe, effective and person-centred care.
- Act as a clinical role model and promote best practice throughout the service.
- Provide oversight of complex clinical care, including enteral feeding, tracheostomy care, non-invasive ventilation, epilepsy management and other specialist interventions.
- Maintain oversight of delegated clinical tasks undertaken by appropriately trained staff across the home.
- Monitor care plans, risk assessments and clinical documentation to ensure they are accurate, personalised and up to date.
- Complete audits and support quality improvement initiatives.
- Support compliance with CQC regulations and organisational standards.
- Work collaboratively with NHS professionals, therapists and external agencies.
- Support occupancy, admissions and resident assessments.
- Build positive relationships with residents, families and healthcare professionals.
- Contribute to incident investigations, action plans and service improvements.
- Promote a positive culture of teamwork, accountability and continuous improvement.
What We're Looking For...
- Registered Nurse (RN or RNLD) with an active NMC PIN.
- Previous experience in a Senior Nurse, Clinical Lead, Deputy Manager or similar leadership role.
- Experience working within a nursing home, care home, hospital or specialist care setting.
- Knowledge of CQC regulations, safeguarding and clinical governance.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Experience overseeing complex clinical care and supporting multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong clinical knowledge and understanding of best practice.
- Confident in care planning, risk assessment and clinical documentation.
- Ability to motivate, support and develop others.
- Positive, proactive and solution-focused approach.
- A genuine passion for delivering exceptional resident-centred care.
