Full job description

Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Sandwich Makers to join our team. This role involves preparing high-quality sandwiches and other food items in a fast-paced environment, ensuring excellent customer service and adherence to food safety standards. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation, strong organisational skills, and the ability to work efficiently under pressure. This position offers an opportunity to develop culinary skills within a friendly and dynamic team.

Responsibilities

Prepare a variety of sandwiches, wraps, and salads according to established recipes and customer specifications.
Ensure all food items are prepared in accordance with food safety and hygiene regulations.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the work area, including sanitising surfaces and equipment regularly.
Serve customers efficiently, taking orders accurately and providing friendly assistance.
Upsell additional menu items to maximise sales opportunities.
Manage time effectively to ensure orders are completed promptly during busy periods.
Assist with stock replenishment and inventory checks as needed.
Follow all health and safety guidelines to create a safe working environment for pop colleagues and customers.

Experience

Previous experience in food preparation or within a restaurant environment is desirable but not essential, as training will be provided.
Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures is advantageous.
Experience in serving customers with professionalism and courtesy is preferred.
Basic maths skills are necessary for handling transactions accurately.
Kitchen or culinary experience will be considered an asset, especially familiarity with fast-paced food service settings.
Strong time management skills are essential to ensure timely delivery of orders during peak hours. This role provides an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about food service to develop their skills within a supportive team environment. All positions are paid, including internships, with opportunities for growth within the organisation.

This is a job for a store opening in September. Training will be given at a different location in West Yorkshire
