Job Purpose
To support the activities of the Casting Cell Team Members to ensure that production targets are achieved and the highest standards of quality are maintained.
To help ensure ongoing compliance with all health & safety / environmental polices & procedures.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
General
· To receive and check materials for production
· To set machine in accordance with standards
· To complete records and documentation as required
· To maintain good housekeeping standards
· To report any concerns to Team Leader
· To ensure an effective handover to following shift where appropriate
· To work flexibly as part of the manufacturing team and to support other team members as required
· In all activities, to comply with quality, health & safety and environmental rules and policies
Area Specifics
· Cu/Pb casting
· White metal casting
· Reclaim lathes (CNC)
· Turning shells on the CNC
· Acid etch shop (tinning process)
· Casting anodes
· Forklift / Combi lift duties (loading and unloading) Training can be provided
· Supporting with Kaizen and 5S activities within the Casting and Plating areas
As a term of your employment, you may be required to undertake such other duties as may reasonably be required of you in the post and department mentioned above or in a comparable post in any of the Company’s other departments.
Qualifications/Education standards and level of skills
Desirable GCSE level education at C grade in English, Maths and Science, or equivalent.

· Experience of producing a detailed quality product
· The ability to meet high standards on a consistent basis
· A self-motivated and focused attitude
· The ability to work flexibly within your team and to support team members
· The ability to read and accurately interpret engineering drawings
Desirable
· Casting knowledge
