This exciting and demanding role will place you at the heart of TVP’s drive for learning and service improvement.
In this role you will work in a highly engaged team of investigators completing Individual Management Reviews (IMRs) which form part of the statutory process for multi-agency Domestic Homicide/Suicide Reviews, Child Safeguarding Practice Reviews, Safeguarding Adult Reviews and MAPPA Serious Case Reviews.
You will ensure the team rigorously evaluate the contact TVP had with those involved in some of the most tragic incidents and appropriately identify learning that will protect our most vulnerable people.
The post holder will be in a privileged position to influence changes in policing practice and ensure TVP maximises the opportunity to ‘Learn the Lessons’ that come from the various Statutory Reviews.
The post holder will also participate in Service Improvement Reviews that support all areas of policing from front line operational to specialist commands and core departmental functions essential for delivering policing and serving the public. Being able to work across the Force and conduct in-depth investigation audits will compliment this challenging yet rewarding opportunity.
You will have recent and proven ability to carry out investigative and evidential enquiries as an effective investigator and be able to demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills at all levels. You will have the ability to recognise and handle sensitive information, maintain discretion and confidentiality, acting always in a balanced and professional manner. You will be self-motivated with a flexible approach in terms of working times and have the ability to cope with pressure to meet deadlines.
