Equip Outdoor Technologies UK Ltd based in Alfreton, Derbyshire specialise in the design and marketing of technical outdoor clothing and equipment. Our experienced and enthusiastic team develop innovative designs, manufactured to the highest standard and brought to market throughout the world. Position:

Great opportunity to join our team as Copywriter!

You will support the Creative Marketing team by writing, editing and proof-reading copy for digital, retail, campaign and product communications across the Rab and Lowe Alpine brands. Working closely with the Senior Creative Copywriter, wider Creative team and key marketing stakeholders, you will help deliver clear, engaging and accurate copy that reflects the relevant brand tone of voice and supports messaging to both B2B and D2C audiences across global channels.

Key Responsibilities of Copywriter (including but not limited to):

Support the creation and delivery of copy across multi-channel communications including web, email, social, paid digital, product, packaging, retail and campaign activity.
Write clear, engaging and accurate copy tailored to different audiences, including consumers, retailers, distributors and internal teams.
Assist with product copy, campaign messaging, CRM, SEO and paid digital copy requirements under the guidance of the Senior Creative Copywriter.
Proofread and edit content to ensure accuracy, consistency, clarity and adherence to brand tone of voice and style guidelines.
Support the development of copy for workbooks, technical training documents, retailer communications, landing pages and social content, using your expertise to initiate and contribute to process improvements
Support translation agency management by helping prepare copy for translation, coordinating amends, tracking feedback and ensuring translated content is reviewed and delivered in line with agreed timelines.
Work closely with graphic designers, ecommerce, product marketing, trade marketing, consumer marketing and regional teams to deliver joined-up creative outputs.
Help maintain a consistent brand voice across Rab and Lowe Alpine communications, in line with the strategic direction of the brand.
Develop an understanding of outdoor products, technologies and audiences to support accurate, relevant and compelling copy.

Requirements:

To join us as Copywriter you must have:

Essential

Degree or equivalent level qualification in English, Communications, Marketing, Journalism or a related subject, or relevant practical experience
Strong written skills with the ability to produce clear, engaging and accurate copy
Excellent spelling, grammar, proofreading skills and attention to detail
Ability to adapt writing style for different channels, audiences and objectives
A creative approach with an interest in developing compelling product, campaign and brand storytelling
Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and work to deadlines
Confident communicator who can work collaboratively with internal teams and respond positively to feedback
Willingness to learn brand tone of voice, SEO, CRM and paid digital copy best practice
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and confidence working with shared documents, briefs and workflow systems
Passion for the outdoors and first-hand experience of using outdoor clothing and equipment
Self-motivated with a flexible, positive and professional attitude

Desirable

Experience writing for email, social, web, SEO or paid digital channels
Experience using content management systems, email marketing platforms or project workflow tools
Second language skills or experience working with translation processes
Understanding of the outdoor industry and technical products
