Overview

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Warehouse Assistant to join our team. This role is vital in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse processes, supporting materials handling, and packing - ready for shipping. If you thrive in a dynamic environment and enjoy hands-on work, this opportunity is perfect for you! You must be physically fit, able and willing to move parts around the building, often up and down flights of stairs, and enjoy greeting couriers eager to offload their parcels and loads, with speed. A "can do" and proactive attitude to work is a must.

Duties

Assist with materials handling tasks such as stocking, picking, packing, and organizing inventory to ensure efficient workflow.
Moving and handling of parts and completed goods around the building and two warehouses. Physical fitness and strength to comfortably handle items up to 25kg.
Answer the door when the bell goes to receive in deliveries - welcoming all couriers and delivery persons whilst ensuring a swift delivery.
Conduct quality control checks on incoming materials and outgoing products to maintain high standards.
Support warehouse organization by stocking shelves, labeling items, and maintaining a clean workspace.
Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of daily tasks and resolve any logistical issues promptly. Follow instruction to the letter on how goods are to be packed.
Enthusiastic and proactive when it comes to packing up completed goods.

Skills

Proven experience in warehouse operations or similar environment with knowledge of materials handling is desirable.
Previous experience and expertise in packing is desirable
"Can do" attitude is essential
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining proper ergonomic practices.
Excellent attention to detail for quality control tasks and accurate stock management.

Hours

Mon to Thursday - 10:30-15:00 (4 hrs a day) - with a half hour unpaid lunchbreak
Fridays - 11:00-13:30 (2.5 hrs)
Total hours per week =18.5 hrs
