About the Role:

The UK Schools and Colleges Engagement team, based in the Corporate Marketing Directorate are recruiting for an Access & Recruitment Operations Officer on a permeant contract to help the delivery of our Access and Participation Plan and Widening Access strategy.

Primary responsibilities will involve providing high-quality coordination, delivery, operational support and relationship management for UK student recruitment and widening access initiatives, building strong relationships with stakeholders and acting as the central point of contact for all internal and external widening access and recruitment enquiries.

To be successful in this role, you will be educated to degree level, hold a relevant professional qualification (or be working towards one), or be able to demonstrate an equivalent level of relevant experience. You will also have experience of, and be passionate about, working with diverse groups of people, from primary-age students to mature learners, as well as their parents/carers and teachers/advisers.

You will need to be an innovative, creative thinker who is enthusiastic, proactive, patient and highly organised. You will need to demonstrate excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills and you must be able to engage and enthuse those around you. It is important that you can develop and maintain relationships with a wide range of colleagues, partners, and external stakeholders. Confidence with organising and presenting group activities is essential.

The successful applicant will be based on our Cambridge Campus. You’ll have the option of working on an agile basis with a mixture of office and home-based working (minimum 60% of weekly hours face-to-face). Occasional travel between campuses, and occasional work outside of normal office hours is expected.
