About The Role

We are looking for an experienced Management Accountant to join our Finance team on an initial nine-month fixed-term contract.

Reporting to the Senior Operations Finance Business Partner, you will take ownership of management accounts, month-end reporting, budgeting and forecasting. You will work closely with operational and commercial teams to analyse performance, challenge assumptions and identify opportunities to improve profitability.

Key responsibilities will include:

Producing management accounts, forecasts and weekly profitability reporting.
Analysing margins, operational costs and performance against targets.
Supporting costing, inventory accounting, stock valuation and CapEx proposals.
Providing commercial insight around pricing, product mix, efficiencies and cost reduction.
Managing Tesco compliance, open-book reporting, rebates and profit-share arrangements.
Improving financial controls, processes, reporting tools and dashboards.

About You

You will be a confident Management Accountant with experience in a manufacturing, production or operational environment. You will be comfortable working with detailed financial information and translating it into clear, practical insight for non-finance stakeholders.

You will also have:

Strong management accounting, budgeting, forecasting and variance-analysis experience.
Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.
Experience of standard costing, inventory accounting or CapEx appraisal.
Advanced Excel skills and strong financial-systems knowledge.
A part-qualified or qualified accounting qualification, such as CIMA, ACCA or ACA.

Experience within fresh produce and knowledge of D365, Power BI, Power Query or SQL would be advantageous.
