Location: Carlisle

Working Hours: 08:30-17:00, Monday-Friday

About the Role

We are looking for a commercially focused and resilient Deputy Head of Finance to join our fast-paced manufacturing environment at 2 Sisters Food Group.

This is a key leadership role within the finance function, supporting operational and strategic decision-making across site performance. Working closely with both the Head of Finance and Site Director, you will play a critical role in driving financial control, improving performance, and supporting the wider leadership team in a high-pressure FMCG manufacturing environment.

This role would suit an experienced finance professional who understands the realities of large-scale manufacturing — where operational challenges can directly impact weekly P&L performance and where agility, commercial awareness, and strong leadership are essential.

Key Responsibilities

Support the Head of Finance in delivering accurate and timely financial reporting and analysis.
Partner with operational teams to drive performance and cost control across the site.
Assist with strategic planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
Provide clear financial insight to support operational decision-making.
Lead, manage, and develop members of the finance team.
Prioritise workload effectively within a fast-moving FMCG environment.
Present financial information confidently to both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
Support continuous improvement initiatives across finance and operations.

About You

Fully qualified accountant with 5+ years post-qualification experience.
Proven experience within an FMCG or manufacturing environment.
Strong strategic planning and commercial finance experience.
Confident presenter with the ability to influence and collaborate across wider business teams.
Demonstrated people management experience, including delegation and workload prioritisation.
Able to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure operational environment.
