Full job description

Job Overview

We are looking for a fully qualified and experienced Plumbing & Heating Engineer to join our team.

The successful candidate will have experience working across both domestic and commercial properties and will be confident carrying out a wide range of plumbing, heating, gas and pipe-fitting works.

You will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, fault finding and repair of plumbing and heating systems, working both independently and alongside other trades and site teams.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced engineer looking for long-term work, job security and opportunities for progression.

Duties

Install, maintain, repair and service plumbing and heating systems in accordance with project specifications and current regulations.
Carry out first fix, second fix and final fix plumbing across a range of building projects.
Install hot and cold water services, waste systems, sanitaryware, heating systems and gas pipework.
Install and work with various types of pipework, fittings, fixtures and appliances using appropriate hand and power tools.
Read and interpret technical drawings, plans and schematics to ensure installations are completed correctly.
Carry out routine inspections, fault finding, diagnostics and repairs.
Identify and resolve issues efficiently to ensure heating and plumbing systems operate safely and effectively.
Work closely with site managers, contractors and other trades to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently and on schedule.
Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment in accordance with Health & Safety requirements.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Pipe Fitter/ Plumber & Gas Engineer.
Strong mechanical knowledge and the ability to diagnose and troubleshoot heating and plumbing systems.
Gas Safe Registered.
Full UK driving licence – essential.
CSCS Card – essential.
SSSTS – desirable, but not essential.
SMSTS – desirable, but not essential.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Good attention to detail and a strong commitment to working safely and to a high standard.
