About The Role

Reports to: Cluster IT Manager

Location: Pontefract (multi-site working required)

Contract: Permanent

Pattern: Full Time (37.5 hours per week, shift Rota between 07:00 - 18:00)

We're looking for a Junior IT Technician to join our IT Team to support the delivery of high-quality, customer-focused IT support across schools within the Ark IT service cluster. You will work closely with Onsite and Senior Technicians, developing your technical skills and confidence while contributing to day-to-day support activities.

Key Responsibilities:

Providing IT support across one or more schools, diagnosing and resolving common technical issues
Managing and progressing support tickets in line with SLAs
Take responsibility for day-to-day IT operations and service standards onsite
Supporting devices including Windows, macOS and ChromeOS, troubleshooting basic network and connectivity issues
Supporting classroom technology and AV equipment

What we're looking for:

Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with non-technical users
Basic understanding of IT systems and troubleshooting
Good communication and customer service skills
Ability to manage workload across multiple sites and priorities
Experience in a customer service or technical support environment (desirable)

Qualification Criteria:

ITIL 5 Foundation qualification or motivated to work towards one
Right to work in the U.K.
