About the Role: Leeds is a thriving hub of commerce and manufacturing, and at Armada Ceramics & Tiles UK, we bring that same commitment to quality directly to our supply chain. We import and distribute premium tiling solutions and top-tier interior design products across the region. We believe that logistics is the backbone of exceptional customer service. We are looking for a Logistics Coordinator who can take full ownership of our dispatch, freight, and supply chain operations. You aren't just moving boxes; you are defining our delivery experience. You will serve as the essential bridge between suppliers, hauliers, warehouse teams, and clients, transforming complex transport requirements into seamless, on-time deliveries. You are the operational advocate ensuring our promises to customers are always met.
Why Work With Us?
- The Environment: Work from our central Leeds distribution hub. We value a clear, highly collaborative workplace where your proactive problem-solving directly impacts day-to-day operations.
- Operational Respect: We don't need you to convince us that efficient logistics matter. We know they do. You will have full ownership of haulage schedules and carrier relationships from Day 1.
- Modern Systems: We leverage modern ERP, inventory, and transport tracking platforms, giving you the real-time visibility you need to keep shipments moving smoothly.
- Work-Life Balance: Enjoy dependable Monday to Friday daytime operational hours—no late-night shifts or irregular schedules.
Key Responsibilities:
- Freight & Dispatch Operations: Plan, schedule, and coordinate daily order dispatches and regional haulage across UK transport networks.
- 3PL & Carrier Management: Communicate directly with third-party logistics providers, drivers, and freight carriers to negotiate reliable transit rates and ensure delivery timelines.
- Inventory & Transit Tracking: Monitor inbound tile and ceramic shipments, proactively resolving delays, transit damage, or stock discrepancies before they affect the customer.
- Documentation & Compliance: Prepare accurate consignment notes, shipping manifests, and customs documentation where required.
- Cross-Department Collaboration: Partner closely with our warehouse team to align incoming stock receipts with outgoing delivery queues.
- Customer Communication: Act as the primary point of contact for logistics queries, delivering clear, precise delivery updates to key accounts.
What We Are Looking For:
- Experience: 2+ years in logistics coordination, transport planning, or supply chain administration (experience in building materials, ceramics, or retail distribution is a strong advantage).
- Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of UK freight operations, courier networks, dispatch procedures, and transport documentation.
- Tooling: Proficiency in inventory systems (ERP/WMS) and strong command of Microsoft Excel for tracking and reporting.
- Problem-Solving Ability: Excellent organizational skills with a knack for handling fast-paced operational challenges calmly and efficiently.
- Communication: Clear, confident communication skills to deal effectively with drivers, suppliers, and internal management.
- Mindset: You are pragmatic and organized. You know how to prioritize urgent dispatches while keeping long-term inventory flows on track.
