Full job description

Do you have a standout voice, a dynamic personality, and a passion for bringing people together? RJ Vocal Coaching is expanding, and we’re looking for a vibrant, high-energy Choir Leader to join our small, ambitious team.

We run non-traditional, "feel-good" adult choirs where community, fun, and mental well-being come first. This isn't a rigid, formal conductor role—we need a natural motivator who can lift the energy in a room, teach multi-part harmonies by ear, and make every singer feel confident.

What You’ll Be Doing

Session Facilitation: Running high-energy, inclusive, and engaging evening choir rehearsals.
By-Ear Harmony Teaching: Teaching multi-part arrangements without sheet music (full voice notes and training materials are provided!).
Cover Support: Serving as a flexible team player covering other groups and supporting local sessions as needed.
Community Performance: Directing the choir at local festivals, weekend gigs, and community events.
Growth & Expansion: Starting with one main weekly session, with clear potential to take on new locations and additional hours as our network grows.

Who You Are:

Strong Vocalist: Confident in your own voice with an excellent ear for multi-part harmony.
Natural Group Leader: Proven experience commanding a room with warmth, kindness, and positivity.
People-Focused: You genuinely love connecting with adults and creating a supportive, uplifting environment.
Adaptable & Reliable: Flexible with travel across local sites, eager to cover sessions, and consistently professional.
Background: A Music degree is a bonus, but relevant experience and the right energy matter far more to us!

Note: You do not need to read sheet music or play an instrument—everything is taught by ear, and we provide uniform, full training, and voice tracks in advance.
