Full job description

Job Overview

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Safety Compliance Assistant to join our dynamic safety team. In this vital role, you will support the implementation and maintenance of safety protocols across our facilities, ensuring a secure and compliant environment for all employees and visitors.

Duties

Assist in conducting regular safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure adherence to safety standards.
Support the documentation process by preparing detailed reports on safety observations, incidents, and corrective actions.
Participate in root cause analysis investigations following safety incidents to determine underlying issues and recommend preventive measures.
Help coordinate safety training sessions, including first aid procedures and emergency response protocols, for staff members.
Maintain accurate records of safety compliance activities, including inspection logs, incident reports, and training documentation.
Support emergency preparedness efforts by assisting with drills, equipment checks, and safety signage updates.

Skills

Knowledge of basic first aid procedures and emergency response techniques.
Strong report writing skills with the ability to clearly document observations, incidents, and corrective actions.
Analytical skills to perform root cause analysis effectively following safety incidents or hazards.
Excellent communication skills to collaborate with team members, management, and external agencies.
Attention to detail in conducting inspections and maintaining accurate records.
Ability to follow safety protocols diligently while demonstrating a proactive attitude towards hazard prevention.
Prior experience or certification in workplace safety or related fields is a plus but not required.

Pay: £28,500.00 per year
