Description
General Dynamics Land Systems is on the look-out for a full-time Systems Principal Architect to join our Engineering Team, based in Merthyr Tydfil. The successful and inclusive candidate will earn a favourable salary of £59,000 to £74,000 based on experience and potential. This is an ideal role for someone who has a proactive and positive mindset and a keen desire to grow professionally.
Joining an established team, the successful candidate will work within the System Architecture Team and will be responsible for areas of the system architecture from top level analysis through design, validation and certification.

Achieving customer acceptance of requirements

Preparing Design Certification Evidence and Certificate of Design

Support customer and supplier meetings as required
To apply for this role, you will require the following:

Degree in Electronics, Systems Engineering, Physics or similar
-
Typically requires degree level education and an advanced level of related experience, or equivalent.

Working knowledge of SysML and/or UML for System Analysis and Design

Working knowledge of System Analysis and Design processes and lifecycles

Understanding of complex electronic systems
-
Ability to manage own time and tasks and to report progress

Ability to manage a small team, allocate tasks and report progress
Desirable:

Rhapsody and CAMEO SysML Toolset

DOORS Toolset
-
Working knowledge of UK Defence Standards.

Understanding of UK Security Accreditation

Understanding of System Safety Assurance
