Administrator Accounts Assistant - IMMEDIATE START

Sperrin Utilities Ltd are looking for an Administrator Accounts Assistant to join our team delivering projects with Glenelly Infrastructure Solutions to Scottish Power Energy Networks in our office in Kilmarnock

This Administrator Accounts Assistant position is a permanent, full-time role and will join an existing team. Experience in a similar role would be an advantage - ideally in the engineering, utilities (gas, electric, water), construction or housing sector.

Duties Include

Your previous role would have been a Administration Assistant,/Accounts Assistant, we need someone with a range of experience and skills who can adapt to business needs to deliver on time and correctly.

The hours are 8-4pm Monday to Friday, working from our office in Kilmarnock. The tasks and responsibilities are as follows -

- Perform general administrative tasks such as answering phone calls, responding to emails, and managing calendars - Maintain and update office records and databases.

- Completing and coding job track sheets/worksheets to prepare for invoicing.

- Liaising with other staff & contractors: in person, email & telephone.

- Conduct data entry and maintain accurate records.

- Coordinate travel arrangements.

- Order office supplies and maintain inventory.

- Off hire plant and skips as required.

- Ensure all plant, equipment and training is up to date.

Your skills and knowledge should cover as much as the following as possible -

- Proficient in data entry.

- Excellent organizational and time management skills.

- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

- Strong written and verbal communication skills.

- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Excellent communication skills are required; you will be speaking to colleagues, clients and customers as well as dealing with subcontractors and suppliers.

SALARY AND HOURS

Working hours, Monday to Friday, 8 am to 4pm. (30 mins lunch break)

QUALIFICATIONS

National 5 qualifications (or equivalent) in English & Maths, good numeracy and written communication. Proficient Microsoft Excel/Word/Outlook skills, attention to detail, organisation and confidence handling confidential information.
Previous experience in customer service, sales administration or general office administration required although full training will be provided for the right candidate.
