The Role
We are recruiting for a part-time Knowledge Lawyer to support our growing litigation practice. This is a key role in a well-established Knowledge Lawyer team within the Dispute Resolution division, working in conjunction with an experienced Senior Knowledge Lawyer and supporting our London and BVI offices.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Collaborating on the planning and organisation of the education and training programme, including identifying topics, preparing materials, sourcing external speakers, chairing training sessions and delivering training
Assisting with assessing and implementing new technology and innovation solutions (such as AI) as may be relevant to dispute work, including active involvement in testing, implementation and promotion
Keeping the team up to date with the key developments in the field of commercial litigation by means of internal news alerts, bulletins and update sessions
Revising and updating of existing precedents and guidance notes and co-ordinating adding them into the firm’s knowledge management system
Sourcing and encouraging fee-earners to contribute know-how and precedent materials, reviewing contributions and co-ordinating adding them to the firm’s knowledge management system; generating know-how where none already exists
Providing advice and guidance on specific points of law and procedure and assisting fee-earners on research on more complex topics
Working with risk and compliance to maintain procedures and documentation relevant to the team
Acting as a conduit between the litigation team and other central business services teams

Key skills and experience

A minimum of 5 years' PQE in international commercial litigation
Additional experience in a specialist area such as insolvency, fraud, data protection or white collar crime would be advantageous but is not essential
England & Wales qualified
Strong academic background
Excellent organisation skills, high work standards and detail-oriented
First class communication and project management skills
Research skills (using hard and soft source materials), including proficient use of journals, and commercial alerting/reporting services
Keen interest in training and familiarity with digital media and online training
Proactive in seeking out thought-leadership ideas to improve ways of working
Ability to develop strong working relationships: must demonstrate well developed interpersonal skills to build confidence, trust and respect amongst the team and the ability to work with people at all levels and in different jurisdictions
A team player, proactive and able to work on own initiative.

The essentials

The core working hours are 9.30am – 5.30pm but flexibility is a must
Hybrid with at least 2 to 3 days in the office
This is a part-time role (preferably 4 days a week, although other arrangements may be considered)
