As our business continues to grow, we are looking for an experienced Student Recruitment Manager to lead our Student Recruitment & Admissions Department. This is a senior management role for someone with a proven track record of increasing student enrolments, managing high-performing teams, and delivering measurable business growth.

The Role
As the Student Recruitment Manager, you will take ownership of the entire student recruitment and admissions journey, ensuring every prospective student receives outstanding support from their initial enquiry through to successful university enrolment.
You will lead and develop a team of Student Recruitment Officers, oversee marketing and admissions operations, improve conversion rates, strengthen university partnerships, and play a key role in increasing student enrolments and company revenue.
This role requires someone who combines strong leadership with hands-on experience in UK Home Student Recruitment.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Management
- Lead, manage and motivate a team of 5–10 Student Recruitment Officers.
- Set clear recruitment targets, KPIs and performance objectives.
- Monitor daily, weekly and monthly performance against business goals.
- Coach, mentor and develop team members to maximise productivity and professional growth.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and training sessions.
- Foster a positive, high-performance and customer-focused culture.
Student Recruitment & Admissions
Manage the complete student admission journey from enquiry to enrolment, including:
- Advising prospective students on suitable universities, degree programmes and career pathways.
- Assessing student eligibility and entry requirements.
- Supporting students with university and course selection.
- Guiding students through Direct University Applications.
- Collecting, reviewing and verifying supporting documents.
- Preparing and submitting university applications accurately and on time.
- Supporting students through interviews where required.
- Managing offers, acceptances and enrolment.
- Liaising with partner universities regarding admissions and application progress.
- Maintaining regular communication with students to maximise enrolment conversion.
- Delivering an outstanding student experience throughout the admissions process.
Student Finance & Compliance
- Advise students on Student Finance England (SFE) eligibility and funding options.
- Assist students with Student Finance applications and supporting documentation.
- Ensure applications comply with university admissions policies and Student Finance regulations.
- Maintain accurate records using the company's CRM and admissions systems.
- Ensure GDPR compliance and confidentiality of all student information.
Marketing & Business Development
- Develop and implement recruitment strategies to increase high-quality student enquiries.
- Work closely with the Digital Marketing team to improve lead generation and conversion.
- Analyse campaign performance and optimise marketing activities to maximise return on investment.
- Build relationships with employers, community organisations, referral partners and educational institutions.
- Represent the company at education fairs, open days, networking events and recruitment activities.
Revenue Growth & Business Performance
- Drive monthly, quarterly and annual student recruitment targets.
- Increase enquiry-to-enrolment conversion rates.
- Improve departmental performance and operational efficiency.
- Produce recruitment reports and performance analysis for senior management.
- Identify new opportunities to increase student numbers and business revenue.
Essential Requirements
Applicants must have:
- Minimum 2 years' proven experience in UK Home Student Recruitment (Essential).
- Experience working for a UK university, education consultancy or higher education recruitment agency.
- Demonstrated success in achieving or exceeding recruitment targets.
- Experience managing a team of 5–10 staff.
- Strong knowledge of:
- UK University Admissions
- Student Finance England (SFE)
- UK Higher Education sector
- Excellent leadership and people management skills.
- Strong communication, negotiation and relationship-building abilities.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Experience using CRM systems and Microsoft Office.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure while managing multiple priorities.
