Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and dedicated teacher or tutor, either qualified or unqualified, with native proficiency in French, to support learners of various ages and backgrounds in after-school clubs for 2026/2027. This role offers an engaging opportunity to inspire students, foster language development, and contribute to their academic success. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for teaching, excellent communication skills, and the ability to adapt lessons to meet individual needs. This position is paid and suitable for those eager to make a positive impact through education.

£25/hour through the school or own rate as self‑employed.

Possible clubs:

Francophone EYFS Club (possibly DELF Prim preparation), 3:30–4:30 pm.
Francophone KS1 Club (possibly DELF Prim preparation), 3:30–5:00 pm.
Francophone KS2 Club (possibly DELF preparation), 3:30–5:00 pm.
Beginners KS2 Club – “Get ready for KS3”.
Possible private lessons.
Possible additional after‑school club for beginners + private lessons at our partner Outstanding Primary School in St Pancras.

Duties

Deliver engaging and effective French language clubs tailored to students’ age and proficiency levels.
Support students in improving their speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills in French.
Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to encourage continuous improvement.
Create a positive learning environment that promotes confidence and motivation.
Work with children and young learners, including those requiring special education support.
Create lesson plans, check attendance, and student progress.
Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding student development (where applicable).

Skills

Proven experience in tutoring or teaching (formal or informal).
Strong ability to work effectively with children and young learners.
Knowledge of special education needs and inclusive teaching strategies is advantageous.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in French.
Organisational skills to plan lessons.
Patience, adaptability, and enthusiasm for fostering a supportive learning environment.
