About the role

Responsibilities

Own the end-to-end design of product features across the Emma App
Design intuitive, compliant user experiences in a regulated fintech environment
Work closely with engineering to ship fast, iterate weekly and continuously improve
Contribute to monetisation experiments (pricing, paywalls, annual plans, upsells)
Improve onboarding, activation and conversion across the app
Refine and evolve Emma’s design system alongside the design team
Translate complex financial concepts (ISA, ETFs, credit reports, interest pots) into simple user journeys
Contribute to product strategy, not just UI execution

This role requires ownership. Our team is small, lean and moves fast.

Who we are looking for

4+ years experience in product design (fintech experience is a strong plus)
Strong systems thinker who understands flows, states, edge cases and trade-offs
High product intuition and strong UX fundamentals
Experience working closely with engineers in fast shipping cycles
Comfortable designing in a regulated or compliance-heavy environment
High data literacy and ability to use analytics to inform design decisions
Ownership mentality and entrepreneurial spirit
Comfortable receiving direct feedback and iterating quickly
Based in London and happy to work from the office

Bonus

Experience designing subscription products
Experience in investing, wealth management or personal finance
Experience running experiments (A/B testing, paywalls, pricing)
Experience contributing to product strategy
Experience in a startup or scaleup environment
