Overview

Join our dynamic team as a Picture Framer and bring artwork and photographs to life through expert framing craftsmanship. This role offers an exciting opportunity to combine artistic flair with technical skill, ensuring each piece is beautifully presented and preserved. As a Picture Framer, you will be responsible for creating custom frames that enhance the aesthetic appeal of artwork, photographs, and memorabilia, delivering exceptional quality and attention to detail. Your work will directly contribute to customer satisfaction by transforming their cherished items into stunning displays that last a lifetime.

Responsibilities

Measure, cut, assemble, and finish custom picture frames using a variety of hand tools, power tools, and carpentry techniques
Select appropriate materials such as mouldings, glass, backing boards, and mounting supplies to match customer specifications and artwork needs
Ensure precise cutting and fitting of glass, matting, and backing materials for each project
Operate joinery equipment and perform fabrication tasks with accuracy to produce high-quality frames
Handle heavy lifting of large or bulky framing materials safely and efficiently
Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols during all fabrication processes
Perform quality checks on finished products to ensure durability, aesthetic appeal, and adherence to specifications

Experience

Ability to lift heavy materials safely and handle physical demands of the role effectively
Prior experience working with framing materials or in a retail art or framing environment is preferred
Strong attention to detail with excellent craftsmanship skills
