This is a unique opportunity for an experienced luxury hospitality leader to join the founding team and help shape the guest experience at this landmark hotel.
Located at the end of The Mall opposite Buckingham Palace, Waldorf Astoria London – Admiralty Arch will feature 100 elegant rooms and suites and 17,500 sqft of private residences. The hotel will open with two signature restaurants - Coreus by Clare Smyth and Café Boulud by Daniel Boulud - bringing together two of the world’s most celebrated Michelin-starred chefs. Guests will also enjoy a world-class spa, state-of-the-art fitness facilities, and a collection of grand event spaces, including a ballroom for up to 320 guests.

Here's what you'll do during a typical day:
As a Senior Shift Engineer, you will support the smooth daily operation of the Engineering function, assisting with team supervision while ensuring all maintenance enquiries and requests are handled promptly and professionally. You will play a key role in prioritising and executing maintenance works that preserve the safety, functionality, and refined standards of an ultra ‑ luxury hotel environment.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Supporting the day to day supervision and coordination of the maintenance team
- Assisting in the implementation and compliance of all statutory, legal, and company requirements, including fire safety, health & safety, hygiene, electrical compliance, and local regulations
- Collaborating closely with Housekeeping to coordinate and prioritise maintenance activities with minimal guest disruption
- Responding to maintenance enquiries swiftly, professionally, and with discretion
- Carrying out maintenance repairs to the highest standard, ensuring appropriate PPE is used at all times
- Maintaining external areas, including landscaped green spaces and car parks, where applicable
- Following and supporting planned preventative maintenance programmes to ensure operational excellence
- Building and maintaining positive, professional relationships with internal stakeholders, contractors, and suppliers
- Supporting and implementing energy efficiency and conservation initiatives
- Ensuring full compliance with C.O.S.H.H. regulations, particularly regarding the safe storage and handling of hazardous substances
Assisting with the ongoing training, development, and performance support of the maintenance team
