Full job description

** Yard Operative Required at Our Loughborough Branch **

Due to the expanding and busy nature of our Branch we require a Yard Operative to join our hard-working friendly team.

Working Hours:

Monday – Friday: 7:20am – 5pm
Saturday: 7:20am – 12pm (Rotational Basis)

The key responsibilities of this role include:

To be the first point of contact for customers arriving at the branch.
Ensuring customers are served promptly and efficiently.
Provide Excellent customer service.
Assist with the unloading and loading of deliveries using a forklift.
Receive and check incoming deliveries accurately.
Ensuring that the yard is kept tidy and health & safety is adhered to at all times.
Undertake any reasonable task from time to time at the Branch Manager's request as may be deemed appropriate within the scope of the post.

Skills & Experience:

Essential:

Positive/can-do attitude
Good customer service skills.
Attention to detail.
Ability to work effectively in a team or alone under own initiative.
Strong communication skills.

Desirable:

Forklift/Skid Steer experience.
Previous experience in the Builders merchant industry.
7.5t driving experience would be very advantageous.
