Job Purpose
The Education Manager will be responsible for managing the daily academic operations of the centre, coordinating GCSE, A-Level and entrance exam tuition programmes, supervising tutors, monitoring student progress and ensuring high standards of teaching delivery.
This role is suitable for someone with strong management, operations, communication and organisational skills, with an interest in education, academic quality and student development.
Main Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Managing GCSE, A-Level and grammar school preparation tuition programmes
- Coordinating class timetables, tutor schedules and student groupings
- Supporting tutors with lesson planning, teaching resources and assessment preparation
- Monitoring the quality of teaching delivery and student learning outcomes
- Organising mock exams, progress tests and revision sessions
- Tracking student attendance, performance and academic progress
- Preparing student progress updates and reports for parents
- Communicating professionally with parents, students, tutors and senior management
- Supporting curriculum planning and academic programme development
- Maintaining accurate academic records, assessment results and attendance data
- Assisting with exam preparation systems and future exam-centre administration
- Supporting tutor recruitment, onboarding and training where required
- Ensuring safeguarding, health and safety, data protection and internal policies are followed
- Using Excel and digital systems to monitor KPIs, progress and operational performance
- Helping promote the academy’s services to prospective parents and students
Required Qualifications and Skills
The ideal candidate should have:
- A degree or postgraduate qualification in Management, Education Management, Business, IT or a related field
- Strong leadership and organisational skills
- Experience supervising staff, teams or daily operations
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to manage timetables, rotas and academic schedules
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and data reporting
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records
- Ability to work with students, parents and tutors in a professional environment
- Understanding of quality assurance, compliance and service standards
- A positive attitude and commitment to student success

Desirable Experience
- Previous experience in a tuition centre, school, college or training provider
- Knowledge of GCSE, A-Level or 11+ preparation
- Experience working with tutors, teachers, students or parents
- Experience organising assessments, mock exams or academic programmes
- Knowledge of safeguarding and student welfare procedures
Pay: £31,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
